Fairy Love

I wanted to create several different invitations for my annual Tea Party. It was such fun working on the kids’ invitations last week but now it is time to get busy on the adult’s. Since there are multi generations that attend and most of them keep the invitations as mementos, I like to make all of them special. This one is for the “grandmas”. I will also be making extras of these and frame them as part of the Tea Party décor.

Supplies:

Any of the Arnold Grummer® paper making kits & paper press
Blender, cello sponges and soft towels
A sunny window
Scraps of purple paper (think junk mail, etc.)
Arnold Grummer® Folding Heart Medium Template
Scraps of purple cardstock or heavy weight handmade paper to die cut
White card stock 5 ½ x 11” , 6” square envelopes
Embossing folder: “LOVE”
Die: Crafters Companion™ S-EF-MD-FF “Frolicking Fairies”
Crafters Companion Gemini™ die cutting and embossing machine
Scor-Pal™
Beacon ZipDry™ & PowerTac™adhesives, double sided foam tape
Purple chalk
12” each 1/2“ lilac and purple sheer ribbon
Clear glitter & clear adhesive for glitter
Sprig of purple/white silk flowers
Scissors

Instructions:

1. Follow the instructions found in any of the Arnold Grummer™ paper making kits to
create purple slurry and create one or more of the folding hearts. (Note: the hearts need
to be medium to heavy weight)
2. Allow the hearts to dry.
3. Score and fold the white cardstock to create a top fold 5 ½” square card.
4. Use the folder and Gemini machine to emboss the word “LOVE” on the front of the card.
5. Apply the purple chalk to the embossed word.

6. Cut the purple handmade paper heart into 2 pieces. (Note: if the heart is thin, back it with a
        scrap of cardstock)
7. Center and attach the heart to the front of the card with tiny pieces of double sided foam.
8. Die cut the Fairy.
9. Glitter the Fairy.
10. Tie a bow with the two ribbons together.
11. Attach the silk flower sprig, bow and fairy to the top center of the heart.
12. Add the Tea Party information to the inside of the card (I created and printed the
information on the computer to save time.)
13. Hand deliver or mail in a padded envelope.
