Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here with Christmas cards.  Christmas is not too far away so it's never too early to start creating. Selecting  red and green handmade papers, I decided to create a Christmas card using Stampendous Stamps and dies. The truck and phrase were stamped and die cut from red paper.  The tree and packages were stamped and die cut from green paper. The background paper was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then lightly inked with VersaFine Clair green ink. A large green circle was added to the card and the car was adhered on top.  The packages and trees were colored with markers and added to the truck with foam adhesives.  The phrase was stamped and die cut and added to the card with foam adhesives. Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with a set of cards using handmade papers created with the Arnold Grummer Papermaking Kit. Using several sheets of previously made handmade paper, I chose a pink toned paper and a blue toned paper.  These were prefect for creating both feminine and masculine cards. For the feminine card, I used the pink toned paper.   I inked a background stamp with brown ink and stamped it onto the handmade paper. I tore the background and adhered it to a cardstock panel. Stamp a sentiment with black ink on a scrap of the same handmade paper.  Emboss it, then die cut it and lightly ink it.  Mat it with a larger die. Wrap ribbon around the stamped panel and adhere the panel to card base.  Add the sentiment with foam adhesives for dimension.  Adhere Robin's Nest dew drops about the card making it more feminine. This project is a small scrapbook page for my travel journal. My trip to Ireland in 2016 was my Trip of a Lifetime! There were definitely many shades of green to take in. My most coveted place to visit was the Blarney Castle, the grounds were breath-taking and yes, I kissed the Blarney Stone :o) This project started with a very large batch of green handmade paper, I have lots of photos to scrapbook into memories. You need a card for a birthday gift. You could run to the store and spend a lot of money for a card or YOU COULD MAKE ONE! It is so easy and Arnold Grummer's has just the thing to help you get this done quickly and easily!! There is a template for making gift cards and envelopes! You put the template between the Pour Handmold and the screen. Pour your pulp into the box just as you would to make paper. Once you have drained enough water and removed the box, gently lift the template off.  Proceed to use the sponge, blocks and couch sheets to remove the excess water. Dry using your favorite method. Now use the folding guide, make the envelope and card. You can make these to match your gift wrap, you can add flower petals, and even stamp on them! I made several so I would have extras on hand! I can hardly believe how quickly the holiday season has come upon us this year.  Perhaps it is because I am working as an art teacher this year...or that I work PT in framing at Michaels.  Either way the holidays seems to have come up much faster than normal.  With that in mind, Christmas cards need to be made and made quickly! I pulled out my trusty tri-fold cards ( http://arnoldgrummer.com/products/cardmaking/trifold-window-cards.html ), a terra cotta Nativity mold ( http://arnoldgrummer.com/nativity.html )  and my Delight AirDry Clay ( http://www.paperclay.com/product.htm ).  I conditioned a bit of the Delight clay by squeezing it in my hands.  I then flattened it into a thin sheet (this can be done by hand or with a roller or with a pasta machine).  The clay sheet was pressed into the Nativity mold (be sure to press clay firmly into the recessed areas).  I pulled it out and placed it on my work surface, smoothing the edges flat....
