Hello, everyone! It's Nancy back today, with one final 2019 project to share!    I just had to make another card using my stash of paper casting pieces! Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here with a new set of Christmas Shaker cards using Arnold Grummer Papermaking kits. I've used left over papers from other projects.  For each card, I used the remaining die cut panels and frayed the edges. I adhered a plastic sheet to each panel, and  Using my MISTI, I stamped phrases in the lower corner with StazOn ink.  Using the MISTI ensured that if I had to restamp the phrase that it would line up correctly. I placed foam tape around the panels and placed dew drops in the cavities before adhering the backing. Finally I added flowers and leaves to the corners. Thanks for stopping by. Steph

The busy season is upon us! Many of us have social events galore to attend; birthday parties, graduation, weddings, BBQs, house-warming and "just because". Take advantage of the weather and party on! I made this standard sized A4 card with 1/2 sheets and scraps on the "fly" for one of these such gatherings. SUPPLIES: AG Paper-making kit AG Cotton Linter AG Sparkles, Metal & Micas AG Botanicals OTHER: green heart mini-brads, white acrylic paint, Green ink (Chartreuse leaf Ranger Ink), Metalic foil hinge sticker (Stylines by Artquest) Rub-on Words (Scenic Route), 2 small lt blue mini-brads, ribbon. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut background paper to A4 size. 2. Cut 1/2" strips of green paper to form a frame, glue in place. Add a heart mini-brad to each corner. 3. Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with fall cards using handmade papers created with the Arnold Grummer Papermaking Kit . Did you know you can add items to the pulp to create an assortment of different papers?  Once I had the pulp ready, I added a sprinkling of botanicals.   But I could also have added leaves, angel wings or rosebuds or even mica flakes for different effects.  Once you pour out the pulp, just swirl the botanicals (or other items) so they spread around the paper. Using a punch, I punched several leaves from my paper. Next, I stamped and embossed on my paper.  Your paper can be stamped and heat embossed for amazing effects. I created a 5 1/2" square card, then cut the handmade paper to fit.  Then I added the elements and used mini paper clips to clip the punched leaves to the card. Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here with some pretty cards using handmade papers. Using assorted handmade papers, I cut each paper to fit my cards, then embossed each with a different embossing folder.  Next, I inked each panel with assorted colors of VersaMagic inks. My blue card uses an embossing folder from Craft-Too.  The flowers were inked and the panel was matted with kraft cardstock.  Twine was wrapped around the panel and several braids were placed within the flowers.  The panel was then added to the card with foam adhesives.  A sentiment was stamped on a left over scrap,  matted on cardstock and added to center of the card. My green card was embossed with a Cuttlebug script embossing folder and inked with green ink.  The panel was matted with kraft cardstock then added to a card.  The sunflower was stamped on the same handmade paper and colored with Memento Markers.  Once colored, it was fussy cut and matted with ca...

It is that time of year to send greetings to family and friends, both near and far. What better way to do that with a card made from handmade paper!! Grab your bin of recycled paper including junk mail and envelopes and make paper! I used my Pour Handmold to make white and blue papers.  The blue paper was my card base. I tore strips of the white paper making snow banks. Ink the edges before adhering. I drew my snowmen and added color using Watercolor Brushes. Some simple sentiments and my cards are done!  Aren't these cute! Perfect for weather heading to Michigan soon (we had a take of it last weekend).  I hope you enjoyed my cards. I recently learned about Etegami postcards which is a Japanese tradition of simple painting on a rice paper postcard. I loved the idea so decided to try it on handmade paper. I received a box which had this wonderful creamy packing paper. Of course, I turned it into my own paper using  the Pour Handmold Since I am thinking of mailing these cards, I gave each  piece of paper a layer of Mod Podge on  both the front and the back. I wanted to use watercolors even though I was not sure if this would work. I  I sketched out simple designs and added the paints. Sometimes it soaked in and others it just pooled on top. I dabbed some off or added more until I was happy with the finished look. I used a black pen to outline and stamped a sentiment. I love the finished look and look forward to sending these out! One is cast from a Jello mold, and the other is cast from a drink coaster! They are both beautiful! Handmade papers make the best cards! It is the perfect way to recycle and to brighten someone's day with happy mail. I started by making a sheet of paper with my Pour Handmold . For this paper I used envelopes from birthday cards. This piece happens to be a bit rough and not so smooth but that works well for this project.  I cut and embossed a piece for the front of the card. To get that deckled edge, run a paintbrush with water along the edge. Allow it to soak in and then pull along the wet part. .  This was the perfect card for a Skeleton Leaf I gently inked it before assembling the card which includes a button, a smaller piece of handmade paper from one of my scraps, twine and beads.
