I love handmade flowers.  i honestly love them more than real ones!  Weird huh?  Yet true!  With the  Arnold Grummer's (AG) Seed Paper Flowers Kit  , not only do I get to create my personally handmade paper, I also get to encourage the recycling by creating seed papers which is MORE than AWESOME! This procedure only requires the kit mentioned above, some paper you would like to recycle,  tissue tints  (for coloring the paper, if you aren't already using colored papers), a blender (preferably one you use for paper making or craft, a bowl less than six inches in diameter, some water,  a few dry rags or couch sheets and flowering seeds. you will also probably want some markers or pens to decorate your intended leaves or petals. A suggested theme for this month was making seed papers.  Since this is one thing that I had never tried before I decided to give it a whirl! The results are these seed packets using the seeded sheets of paper.  Along with those I included a paper casting "plant poke" to add in a garden or a flower pot. I did a bit of research on making seed papers and found a couple different approaches. The process began just as if making any sheet of paper.  Create the pulp and add it into a vat for dipping.  Choose a mold to form your paper.    NOTE:  Either use the dip method or the pour method.  Add a template before proceeding if desired for a shape.  Use cookie cutters for creating unique shapes. I couple of weeks ago, I shared a post about making your own wedding favors from seed paper.  Today I would like to share a card that is also made from seed paper and can be used for wedding thank you notes or just an everyday thank you note.  The great thing about the paper these are made from is that it can be planted in a garden and the seeds will grow into beautiful flowers which makes this card very earth friendly.  The paper was made using one of the Papermill Kits  from Arnold Grummer's Papermaking and the basic instructions.  Before lifting the paper from the water, I sprinkled a packet of mixed flower seeds onto the surface and then finished the sheet of paper off according to the instructions.  I trimmed the paper to create a 3 1/2" x 4 7/8" note card and then stamped the sentiment and design on it.  It takes little time to create a sheet of paper and it's so much fun and more satisfying using something that is hand...

What is a better way to share the love of the earth on the day of your wedding than to create these fabulous seed paper favors?  Everything used for this project is made of recyclable materials and can be personalized for your wedding.  They certainly help add to the memories of your day and they are easy to create.  To begin, use one of the Papermill Kits to create 2 sheets of paper using the basic instructions.  Add a special touch to the paper by mixing 2 colors of pulp into the sheets that match your wedding colors.  Pour the first color into the deckle box and continuously stir it with your hand while adding the second color.  The two will swirl together to create a gorgeous color pattern.  This pocket and seed paper favors were made using a red and blue pulp. Before completely lifting the box out of the water, add a packet of flower seeds across the surface and then lift the box out.  Finish the s...
