Hello everyone! February is the month for love so today, I have two hearts I made with paper pulp. I cut out a heart out of cardboard and used it as a form to make my hearts. Then I wrote on them like the ones you find in the candy store. I painted them with pink paint and then used Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist (it's all sparkley and stuff, LOL) I then attacted it to the frame I had made before using handmade paper from Arnold Grummers Paper making mill. They aren't attached permanently because I like changing out the picture in the frame from time to time. I love alcohol inks and powdered paints!  Add the shimmer of LuminArte' Twinkling H2O's and you have eye catching results with very little effort (shhhh, don't tell).  But I am getting a bit ahead of myself...let's make some paper first. Valentine's Day is almost here so why not make something special for the one you love.  A book covered in handmade paper is a wonderful gift to give to that special someone.  Use it every day to write a message in it to remind the person of the love you share.  The idea for this book was inspired by something I have done for my husband for 24 years now.  Every night I sit down and write him a note and put it in his lunch bag to read a work.  It is a special way for me to tell him about my day, what I'm thinking and how much I love him.  I thought this book was the perfect way to share a little extra note in the day to say, "I love you."  It will sit on the table next to his favorite chair so he can read the new note each night.     I, first, wanted to share with you a picture of the container that I use for placing my papermaking deckle and the water in.  This is a cement mixing tub that I found at the local...

Share the love with someone special this February by creating this Hearts of Gold gift tag to include with that special little surprise gift or tie it around his or her favorite glass to bring a smile to the one you love.  The tag was created by making paper pulp according to the basic instructions .  The color was achieved by adding some leftover red tissue paper that I had from our Christmas gifts.  I just kept adding it until I reached the color I wanted.  Some of the pieces didn't mix completely in and created red dots throughout the paper which added a nice look to the paper.  The tag was made by pouring the pulp into the tag template and finished according to the instructions for making a piece of paper.  A few weeks ago, I had made some extra sheets of paper using my Papermill Kit so I dug into my stash for a sheet to punch the hearts from.  This was a sheet of tea dyed paper that I had added some gold dust to when I created the sheet of ...
