Trio of Tags with Handmade Papers

Image
Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with a set of tags using handmade papers created with the Arnold Grummer Papermaking Kit .  I recently created an assortment of handmade papers using one of the Arnold Grummer Papermaking Kits .  Each kit makes different sized papers.  With the variety of papers I had previously made, I selected 3 papers from which I could create my tags. I selected 3 papers - one with shades of purple, one with touches of blue and one with flecks of green.  Next, I selected corresponding inks and inked the edges of the tags.  Then I used a script stamp to create texture on each tag with the same inks. A phrase was stamped with black ink and then die cut.  After matting it with a scalloped circle, the phrase was added to the tag.  Dew drops were adhered to the bottom of the tag and twine inserted at the top. Twine was wrapped around the tag.  2 different phrases were stamped in blac...

summer of fun

Welcome papermakers! Summer is in full swing which means backyard picnics, pool parties and family cook outs! Why not dress up the beverages you bring to the party! I save all of the hand made paper scraps from my projects. They are perfect for smaller projects such as these tags! So grab some scraps and dies and let's get started. These summer theme dies from Taylored Expressions were just perfect for this project!  The handmade paper cut quickly and easily. I started by painting backgrounds on watercolor paper.  The sand was created using texture paste and mist.  I created a different summer theme on each tag.I added watercolors to some of the pieces and finished with a quote and twine. This is a fun project which you could even have your children help with! You could make these to celebrate any theme - a birthday, Father's Day, an anniversary or summer as I did. Add one to each bottle and you are ready to go! Supplies: Pour Ha...

Tag, Tags, and Tags

Tags are so versatile and easy to make and I enjoy making my own. Hi, it's Ann ( http://annmakes.blogspot.com ) here today with my share of how to make your very own handmade paper tags using The Arnold Grummer Paper Making system .  Here is a picture of three tags I made to use on gifts for my family this Easter. To make these I used two sheets of handmade paper that I made using the Arnold Grummer Paper Making System.  I recycled some advertisements from a local restaurant into a sheet of blue and a sheet of white paper. With the template to make tags (available  here ) I traced and cut out the blue tags.  To make the white tags I repeated the process with the white paper and I tore the white tags to be smaller than the blue ones. I stamped the sentiment and bunny with some rubber stamps from Michael's dollar bin and some Ranger Black Archival ink.  I coloured the bunnies with a wooden colouring pencil. To add interest I inked the edges of...
