A Sticky Note Book - Decorated With Handmade Paper

Image
Hello, everyone!  It's Nancy here with a new project share! Today I've decorated a Sticky Note Book with a stamped and embossed piece of handmade paper.  Here's What I Used: Materials Used: Arnold Grummer - Sticky Note Books Starter Kit ; Small Piece of Handmade Paper; Stampendous - Wisteria Cottage Stamp Set ; Stampendous - Embossing Ink; White Embossing Powder; Nuance Powders - Blue, Green; Paper - K & Company; Small Piece of White Cardstock; Offray Ribbon - White. Here's How I did it: 1. Following the instructions on the kit, I assembled the Sticky Note Book.  2. Using the embossing ink, I stamped the cottage image onto a 2 1/2" x 2 3/4" piece of handmade paper. I heat embossed it with the white embossing powder.  3. I sprinkled the blue Nuance powder in the sky area, and the green Nuance powder in the grass area. Then I sprayed the piece with water until it looked as I wanted it to. I set it ...

Botanical Sticky Note Books

Image
It’s that time of the year when people’s attention is focused on the holiday ritual of gift-giving.  I actually started making my Botanical Sticky Note Books back in July, mainly because my paper making studio  aka my garage is not heated, so all my paper making is done during the summer.  And if you want a great gift to give to someone or even to gift yourself then purchase an  Arnold Grummer  Papermaking kit . I used Arnold Grummer's  Angel Wings: Multi Color Mix  to create my botanical paper for my  Sticky Note books.   I love the bright colors which won't fade and the fact that the Angel Wings tear into long thin strips and will give a mulberry type paper effect. I love the different effects you can achieve by varying the amount of botanicals that you add for each batch of sheets in the blender.  If this was to be used as stationery then I would have used less and blended more but I kn...

Post It Note Holders by Steph

Image
Hi everyone, Steph here with Post It Noteholders/Sticky Note Books using handmade papers created with Arnold Grummer's Papermill Kit and Arnold Grummer's Sticky Note Books Starter Kit . This pads are perfect to put in your purse so you always have a pad for notes.  They also make great gifts for teachers, coworkers and friends. Create an assortment of handmade papers using the Arnold Grummer's Papermill Kit. Cut the paper using the template included with the Arnold Grummer's Sticky Note Books Starter Kit . Place the cardboard elements in place and fold the flaps over.  Use the secondary template and cut a smaller layer to fit on top to cover the cardboard elements. I selected 3 different handmade papers and inked the edges of each.  Place a post it note pad inside each book. I decided to embellish each book differently.  This book was stamped with butterflies. I used a stencil to add additional colors on this...

Take Note

I don't know about you, but I need a pad of paper by every phone in my house. We generally use scrap paper but had recently run out. And, it was time to upgrade. Did you know that Sticky Note Kits are available at ArnoldGrummer's website??  The kit comes complete with templates and cardboard covers and spines!  Everything you need to get started except paper! I made a couple of pieces of pretty pink paper using my Pour handmold . After making my paper, I used the templates to cut the cover and inside piece.  Once cut, I glued the covers and spine to the paper. After that dried, I  added the inside paper( a scrap of pattern paper)  to give it a finished look. The cover can be decorated and I chose to use a casting mold  I painted mine and added lace underneath to finish the top of the pad. Isn't this pretty? Looks much nicer than scrap paper! I am thinking I will more not only for me but also to give as gifts! Thank you for...
