Show Your Patriotism This Memorial Day

This wonderful door hanging makes the perfect decoration to celebrate Memorial Day this month or Flag Day in June.  Leave it up year round to show your love of the red, white and blue.  The handmade paper and molded flags make this decoration one of a kind and you can easily make it using the wonderful products from Arnold Grummer's Papermaking!

Begin by creating the red, white and blue sheets of paper using one of the Papermill Kits and the basic papermaking instructions.  Once they sheets have dried, cut them to size and attach them to the Paper Quilt Project Squares

Cast several flag pieces using the US Flag mold and cotton linters according to the directions included with the cotton linters.  For the red and blue flags add some of the Tissue Tints for the color.  Trim any rough edges off easily by tracing a circle around the molded piece and then using a pair of scissors to cut out the circle.  Allow them to dry or dry them carefully using a heat tool. Finish of the edges of the squares and add the U. S. A. using your favorite patterned paper to add some patterns to the project.  Combine the squares and create a hanger with some red, white and blue ribbon.
