Quick & Easy Christmas Cards

My Christmas card list keeps getting longer & time is getting shorter….sigh. Follow along while I create two cards that look like they took hours to make but actually took less than 15 minutes each to create!



Supplies:

Any of the Arnold Grummer® paper making kits and paper press
Blender, cello sponges and soft towels
A sunny window
Scraps of white paper (think junk mail, etc.)
Scrap of white & Kraft card stock to die cut
6 x 6’” cards and envelopes
Dies: “Deer” MemoryBox  #98679,  Couture Creations “Peace On Earth” # CO726297,
        “Kindness” #FRA-Die-10500.....Fran the Frantic Stamper,  Mary & Joseph” Nellie’s # SD139

Tonic Studios™ Tangerine die cutting and embossing machine
Tonic Studios™ paper trimmer
Tonic Studios Nuvo Pur Sheen Glitter #721 Ice White
Tonic Studios Nuvo Glitter Drops #758 White Blizzard
Tonic Studios Craft Tacky adhesive

Embossing Folders: Marrianne’s Designs #DF3421 “Bethlehem” , #DF3441 “Trees in the snow”
ColorBox™ Dystress Blendable ink pads in light blue, tan & olive green..
Tiny flat backed rhinestone
Double sided foam

Instructions:

1. Follow the instructions found in any of the Arnold Grummer™ paper making kits to create
        white slurry and create several sheets of medium weight handmade paper.
2. Place the sheets into the paper press to dry. 
3. When the sheets are dry,  cut to approx. 5 x 5” & 6 x 6”.
4. Ink the inside front cover of an embossing folder with one of the Dystress Blendable ink pads
        NOTE: refer to finished card photos for color placement
5. Place a sheet of the handmade paper into the embossing folder.
6. Close the folder and run it through the machine.
7. Remove the inked and embossed paper from the folder.
8. Repeat steps 4 through 7 using the other embossing folders.
9. Center& attach the inked embossed handmade papers onto the folded cards with Craft Tacky
        adhesive.
10. Decide which areas you want the clear micro glitter to be on the Deer card..
11. Apply the Nuvo glue to those areas…less in some areas, more in others.
12. Sprinkle the glitter onto the wet areas.
13. Tap the glitter into the adhesive with your fingers.
14. Let the glitter sit for a few minutes and then put the excess glitter back into the jar.
15. Die cut the Deer & the words “Peace on Earth” from white scrap card stock.
16. Die cut Mary & Joseph & the word “Kindness” from scrap Kraft card stock.
17. Color the work “Kindness” with some of the olive ink. Let the ink dry.
18. Attach the deer to the bottom right of the tree card with double sided foam.
19. Attach the work “Kindness” to the left side of the tree card with Craft Tacky adhesive.
20. Attach the tiny  flat backed rhinestone  to the center of the star (Peace on Earth card)
21. Attach the word “Peace on Earth” to the top right or the Bethlehem card with Craft Tacky
        adhesive.
22. Attach Mary & Joseph to the bottom left of the card.
