Another View....Happy Anniversary

I enjoyed the creating the Memories journal project for the newly weds so much that I decided one of the "Love Birds" extra paper casting matted would make a wonderful anniversary gift for my folks who will soon be celebrating 60 years together.


Supplies:
  •      Any of the Arnold Grummer® paper making kits
  •         Cotton Press™ paper casting mold “Love Birds”
  •         Blender, strainer, cello sponges and soft towels
  •          A sunny window
  •          Scraps of white paper (think junk mail, etc.)
  •          Scraps of white card stock to die cut
  •         9 x 9 " Mauve matt board with round opening, 9 x 9" white backing matt board
  •         DIE: Elizabeth Crafts/Quiet Fire Designs™  1160 "Happy Anniversary"
  •        Tonic Studios™ Tangerine die cutting and embossing machine
  •      Beacon ZipDryTM adhesive 
  •      Double sided foam tape
  •        Chalks: medium Mauve, Celadon green
  •         Small sponge applicators to apply chalks
  •         Marvy Uchida # YG 635 La Plume Permanent fine tipped marker
  •       12-16" of  1/4" Picot edge Mauve ribbon

Instructions:

1 .Follow the instructions found in any of the Arnold Grummer™ paper making kits to create white slurry and
    cast one or more of the Love Birds castings.  (NOTE:I made this "extra" casting when I made the"Memories journal casting.)
2. Allow the casting to dry.
3. Use one of the small foam applicator to lightly apply the Mauve chalk to the flower petals, the inside heart rim and the “banner”. 
4. Use another foam applicator to apply the Celedon green chalk to the birds, the rose stem and branch. 
5. Use the La Plume marker to add the tiny eyes to the birds.
6. Tie the Picot edge ribbon into a small bow.
7. Attach the bow to the top of the Love Bird casting.
6. Die cut 2 of the words“Happy Anniversary”. Layer and glue them together with ZipDry™ adhesive.
7. Apply the Celadon green chalk to the white matt board backing.
8. Attach the paper casting to the center front of the backing board with double sided foam tape.
9. Use strips of foam tape to elevate the top matt above.the mounted paper casting.
10.Attach the layered words with ZipDry™ adhesive to the top and bottom of the matt board.
11. Place on a small decrotive easel for display.
