Collage the Little Bits

Hello.  Ann here today with a truly recycled project to share with you.  I took all the little bits and pieces left over from previous projects I ve made for the AG Team and used them all in this collage.  I used not only the bits of handmade paper left after cutting and snipping but also those pieces that had not previously made the "Cut" into the final project.  I tend to recycle the very smallest pieces back into a pulp to make new sheets of paper, which I still did here, but I saved the larger pieces for the project.

This is a great project to do with children as they can learn about using different shapes to  make a collage.  Of course I used the Arnold Grummer traditional pour method of making the original sheets of paper.

The flower is a collage of left over Valentines.

The butterfly was a left over from another project when I used a mould and pulp.

The centre of the flower is made of woven strips of handmade paper and hole punched circles of painted handmade paper.

The stem is made from rolled scraps of some other handmade paper.

The grass and leaf were made from some pieces of green handmade paper made after recycling some envelopes from Christmas!

In addition to the handmade paper I also used some stamps and inks and a colour wash pencil.  Plus some glue.
