"Dare To Dream"- March's Arnold Grummer DT Post

~Dare To Dream~

I was thrilled to purchase a BigKick-Vintaj recently to be able to emboss designs on my jewelry items. So when I thought about his months design team project I wanted to something more unique and pulled out my BigKick! The  handmade papers that can be created with Arnold Grummer's Paper Making kits are so beautiful and versatile... you will be hooked!
I started with one my favorite  handmade papers that I had made previously and put it through the Big Kick. The paper came out so crisp and beautifully textured~ It was amazing!

The little specks of color are bits and pieces of gold tissue paper, angel wings and other wonderful botanical's available from Arnold Grummer's website.

I created the art work on a 8 x10 artists panel.
To Embellished these are the supplies I used:

Gold Acrylic Paint
Liquid Pearls
Turquoise Metallic Paint and Ink pad
 Patina Metal Dragonfly
Rub on quote
Sepia Stamp Pad for distressing

1) Paint your art panel with the turquoise paint and let dry .
2)Begin with your embossed piece of handmade paper and mod podge down onto the art panel. Do this quickly as the impressions will start to flatten out if the paper absorbs too much mod podge.
3)When dried you can highlight the raised embossed areas with the metallic plum  ink pad then embellish with paint dots using the acrylic paints. 4)Distress the edges with the sepia stamp pad and add the rub on quote and dragonfly to complete the project.

This was such a fun easy and creative project.. and not to mention I love dragonflies!!

Have a wonderful creative day!
In Love & Faith
Sherri
